Dark rich colour with a creamy texture – a match made in heaven. It also happens to be delicious!

GREAT IDEA. This classic soup can
also be served cold, but
during the cooler months
it’s perfect warm with
crusty bread rolls on
the side.

DARLENE’S TIPS. To make Thyme &
Garlic Croutons, slice
Turkish bread into
cubes. Add 40g readymade
garlic butter and
fresh thyme leaves to a
pan over low heat. Add
bread pieces and cook,
tossing, over medium
heat until golden brown
and crunchy.

Try this quick
tomato sauce, perfect
for pasta, serving with
frittata or even grilled
steak. Empty a 425g
can of diced tomatoes
into a small pan. Add
2 chopped garlic cloves, 2 tablespoons chopped
basil and a pinch of
sugar. Simmer for
5 min or until reduced.
Season with pepper.
